The NC7170 Dual Port Ethernet Adapter The NC7170 is a high-performance network adapter designed for ProLiant servers. It features two ports on a single adapter, allowing customers to save valuable I/O slots for other purposes. Each port supports a PCI-X 64-bit/133MHz interface, which is also compatible with traditional PCI slots. High Speed and Versatility The NC7170 offers 10/100/1000Mbps capability, making it suitable for use in Ethernet or Fast Ethernet legacy wiring plants, as well as for Gigabit environments. The high speed and increased data path, combined with the 128KB of onboard memory, make the NC7170 ideal for ProLiant servers requiring maximum bandwidth and port density. Two Versions Available The NC7170 is available in two versions: the standard version (SKU# 313881-B21) which comes with brackets that fit into a standard, full length ProLiant server slot, and the low profile version (SKU# 383738-B21) which comes with brackets that fit into low profile (half height) slots available on selected ProLiant servers. Both versions have the same features and functionality, with the only difference being the bracket size.
