High-Performance Networking with HP A5800 Switches Experience unmatched speed and reliability with HP A5800 switches. These switches offer a combination of Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports, high-availability architecture, and full Layer 2 and Layer 3 dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 capabilities. With wire-speed line-rate performance on all ports, these switches also feature patented Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology and Rapid Ring Protection Protocol (RRPP) for enhanced resiliency and performance. Flexible Deployment Options Available in both PoE and non-PoE models, as well as 1 RU and 2 RU flex chassis configurations, A5800 switches are built on open standards and include an open application architecture (OAA) module slot. This allows for flexible deployment options for new services, making these switches ideal for use in the network core, convergence layer, or network edge of enterprise campus networks. Quality of Service (QoS) Ensure optimal performance with powerful QoS features such as traffic class creation based on access control lists (ACLs), IEEE 802.1p precedence, IP, DSCP or Type of Service (ToS) precedence. These switches also support various congestion actions including strict priority (SP) queuing, weighted round robin (WRR), weighted fair queuing (WFQ), weighted random early discard (WRED), weighted deficit round robin (WDRR), and SP+WDRR. Efficient Management Easily configure and manage your network with remote management options through a secure web browser or command-line interface (CLI). The full-featured console provides complete control of the switch with a familiar CLI interface. High-Density Port Connectivity With support for up to 84 1-Gigabit ports per unit or 612 per stack, these switches offer high-density port connectivity for your network needs. Advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 Services Take advantage of advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 services such as GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP) for automatic learning and dynamic assignment of VLANs, and Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) for determining the MAC address of another IP host in the same subnet. These switches also support static ARPs, gratuitous ARP for detecting duplicate IP addresses, and proxy ARP for normal ARP operation between subnets or when subnets are separated by a Layer 2 network.
