The HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 is a configurable blade server that boosts performance and increases system flexibility and expandability. Maximize performance The BL460c Gen9 is compatible with a variety of Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 v4 processors, enabling you to choose the best CPU for your system. The configurable server can also support dual processors, enabling a simple upgrade option for any future expansion. The Intel Xeon E5-2600 series family delivers excellent versatility across diverse data centre workloads. Impressive Smart Memory This server supports up to 512GB RDIMM/2048GB LRDIMM DDR4 memory across 16 DIMM slots. DDR4 memory operates at a lower voltage than DDR3 memory whilst featuring markedly better performance, thus offering a combination of faster operation at a reduced operational cost. HPE SmartMemory however, which Techbuyer recommends and fits as standard where possible, is specially designed to make the most of HPE servers, and as such offers a further 23% performance boost over standard memory. Flexible performance The BL460c Gen9 blade server is compatible with either a 20GB 2-port FlexFabric FLB, a 10GB 2-port HP FlexFabric FLB, or 10GB 2-port Ethernet FLB network adapter, depending on the other selected components. FlexFabric network designs are easier to manage and scale thanks to their advanced networking and management technologies. There is a choice of either an HPE Smart Array P244br or P24Gbr controller with 1GB Flash-Backed Write Cache (FBWC), which supports both RAID 0 and RAID 1, or the HPE H244br Smart host bus adapter. A USB 3.0 socket and a Micro SDHC slot provides more connectivity. Expansion via two PCI-E 3.0 x16 sockets is also available, further boosting the versatility of this HPE blade server.
