These enclosures can be ordered separately for installation in the field, or they can be factory configured in a rack for convenience. While drive enclosures are optional, they are necessary for larger configurations. Flexible Options for Your Storage Needs The Storage Base products and Upgrade Node Pair come with small form factor drive bays, so no additional drive enclosures are required for the minimum configuration. However, for larger configurations, simply attach drive enclosures to expand your storage capacity. Each drive enclosure includes 24 drive bays, providing ample space for your data storage needs. Compatibility and Scalability The HP 3PAR StoreServ 7200 supports up to five (5) added drive enclosures, while the HP 3PAR StoreServ 7400 can accommodate up to nine (9) added drive enclosures per node pair. These two drive enclosure types can also be intermixed in a single array, giving you the flexibility to customize your storage configuration to fit your specific requirements.
