IBM System Storage EXP2500 Express storage enclosures offer the following new options: - 4 TB 7,200 rpm 6Gb SAS NL 3.5 inch disk drive: This dual-port and hot-swappable drive offers a higher-capacity option for cost-oriented environments, and increases the physical capacity supported in an EXP2512 enclosure by up to 33%. - 1.2 TB 10,000 rpm 6Gb SAS 2.5-inch disk drive: This dual-port and hot-swappable drive offers a new capacity option for general purpose applications. - 200 GB and 400 GB 6Gb SAS 2.5-inch solid state drives (SSDs): SSDs deliver higher performance and lower latency than traditional disk drives and are ideally suited for high-performance environments. These new SSD options operate at 6Gb per second.
