Beer Description: An unsweetened, traditional cherry beer, brewed using whole cherries. It has been called Cuvee Rene Oude Kriek since 2007 however was first brewed in 1961. The bottles should ideally be stored lying on their side. In 2016, it was awarded a bronze medal at the World Beer Awards for the category of “Fruit Lambic”. In 2017, it won another award at the World Beer Awards for the category of “World’s Best Kriek” and in 2019, it was the country winner for the same category.
