As the fibres contract, they hold more air pockets trapping heat and giving you a thermal boost. When hot it expands as it gets warmer having the opposite effect so you can still wear this jacket in spring and late season. Using Bonfires new ghost gaiter system, you can choose when and where you use your gaiter. The convenient thumb loop will pull the gaiter around your wrist and stop snow getting in or ignore the thumb loop to wear as a normal jacket. Another nice feature is the tactical lens access as no one really takes two sets of goggles on the mountain anymore. Bonfire addressed this with a specific pocket which matches the curve of your body so the lenses won't dig in. The pocket has a soft cloth divider too so you can carry more than one lens if you wish to do so.
